This is my first attempt to create a website to describe what I do.
Included here are my Lehigh work, my consulting work, and my work as an artist. I suppose that over time I will add other information about travel etc. We will see how much time I have to keep this up.
My Lehigh work is described in the usual categories of teaching, research and service. Over the past 26 years at Lehigh I have been fortunate to work with outstanding students and colleagues, and in collaboration with them I have been able to contribute in small ways to the advancement of engineering practice. My greatest pride remains the success of my many students, and I take great joy in keeping in touch with their many successes and accomplishments over the years.
I also describe some of what I have been doing as a consultant. That work has been interesting and challenging, and it has informed and improved both my teaching and research at Lehigh.
Finally, as some of you may know, after a long hiatus, I resumed painting about 5 years ago. What surprised me the most is that I actually improved during my hiatus - perhaps I should have paused sooner. It is still hard to find time to paint, and I still feel like I am only scratching the surface of what is possible as an artist.
